Subscriber Testimonials
I particularly like your e-updates of "Dave's Opinion" .. i.e. "what's this mean to you" - today's reference being that of 64 vs 32 bit processor unveilings. I don't recall how I came on board your mailing list but it is one of the few I retain. Technologies are expanding sooo quickly that any simple quick references that can be depended upon are well received, appreciated, and well worth the quick read. thanks again."

The interior pages of dgl.com include graphic banner advertisements at the top of each page. (such as at the top of this page). These advertisements are dynamically generated when webpages on dgl.com are requested. Graphic advertising prices on the dgl.com website are based on impressions (the number of times the graphic advertisement is displayed). Impressions may be purchased in increments of 1,000.

dgl.com Graphic Banner Advertising Rates

1,000 - 9,999 $999.00
10,000 - 24,999 $899.00
25,000 or more $699.00

The advertising rate is based on the total number of impressions purchased at one time. All advertising invoices must be paid in full in advance of any advertisement being placed online. dgl.com serves about a half million files each month, making it one of the most popular websites for the IT community.

Based on the number of impressions purchased, or at your request, your graphic banner advertisement may be assigned a "multiplier" by the dgl.com advertising system. With a multiplier of 3, your ad would be displayed three times as frequently during the advertising period as an ad with a multiplier of 1.

dgl.com Advertising Terminology

Impressions
The number of times a visitor sees an advertisement on the site. Graphic banner advertising prices at dgl.com are based on impressions.

Hits
The number of times a server is accessed. "Hits" are almost meaningless to advertisers, since each page, graphic, or page element could count as a "hit." You should make your advertising decisions based on impressions.

Click-Through
The number of banner advertisement viewers who click on an advertisement, thus hyperlinking the visitor to the advertiser's destination URL (website).

Clicks-per-Impression
A ratio that indicates the success of an advertisement by dividing click-throughs by total impressions. The quality and content of an ad greatly affects this ratio.

Multiplier
A number assigned to each advertisement (based on the number of impressions purchased) that controls how often the ad is displayed in relation to other advertisements in the system. An ad with a multiplier of 2 is displayed twice as often as an ad with a multiplier of 1.

Redirects
A mechanism used by dgl.com to count visits to an advertiser's Web site.

Rotational Advertising System
The system used by dgl.com to display a different advertisement each time a page is accessed by a visitor.

If you have any questions regarding advertising terms as they are used at dgl.com, please contact our advertising sales staff by email at sales@dgl.com or by phone at 1.888.290.6200 or 410.567.5366.
