: I downloaded a trial copy of the Net Nanny. I removed it from my system shortly after I downloaded it. The last few days a message had been coming up on my computer telling me the trial version of Net Nanny has expired and I may purchase the full version and I should run Net Nanny Remove. I can't run net nanny remove as I no longer have it loaded. How can I get this message to quit coming up every time I turn on my computer.
: Thank you,
Good morning,
Seems like the program has left some elements behind. I suspect that you removed the program by deleting it out of your directory with Windows Explorer/File Manager??
Probably the best solition is to reinstall Net Nanny and redelete it by using the suggested uninstall program. Alternative methods that may not work would be to use a windows cleanup utility like Quarterdecks Clean Sweep but these usually cost money as the downloadable demos are not full featured. A final guaranteed solution is to back up your programs and data, wipe the hard disk with a high level format and reinstall everything but you best have lots of time. My system takes about 10 hours to reinstall and I still find I've lost things so formatting and reinstalling is a VERY LAST thing to do. Good luck.
