I am having a similar problem, with this difference:
When I start up my computer, all my winsock-dependent files work fine. However, after some time, all suddenly start giving me an error: "Error starting program. Wsock32.dll cannot start. Check the file to determine the problem".
What puzzles me is this: If there was really something wrong with my wsock32.dll file, it should be giving me this problem all the time. But when i restart my computer, everything starts working fine again, for a while. The time it takes for the problem to start again varies and is never constant.
Since I am a visually disabled computer user, I am also using a speech-access software called Window Eyes, which operates as a TSR application. However, i doubt it could be causing any problems.
Please E-mail me directly with any advice you have, since I am having difficulty accessing this site with screen-access software.

After I install the software for instant internet and run the internet, windows95 will not shutdown or restart properly. I just hangs. Are there updated winsock.dll and wsock32.dll files available that run with windows95?
