SocksCap32, from NEC, is client software that allows most Internet applications
to work with a SOCKS proxy server such as RideWay. If you have an application
that is not supported directly by a socks server, you can try installing
SocksCap on your client machines to run your application.
GO TO Http://www.socks.nec.com/
click on SocksCap bar
click on Download
select Package "SocksCap32"
select Operating System
"Windows 95/Windows NT"
then submit and download
II Installation and Setup
After installing SocksCap32,
run SocksCap32 application
to start Control Panel
click on New to add Internet
Explorer application to the control panel
click on New to add (NAME
OF APPLICATION; e.g. AOL) application to the control panel
click on Save Profiles to
save the configuration
start Setup under File menu
set Socks server to the
IP of server PC which runs RideWay
set Port to 1080
select Socks4 on Protocol
click OK
IF using Internet Explorer.....

run Internet Explorer from
SocksCap32 Control
select Option under View
menu
select Connection tab
uncheck the Proxy server
setting (namely, no proxy)
click OK and exit
IV Use IE
Always run Internet Explorer
from SocksCap32 Control.
